Located a short drive from Raleigh, nestled in the peaceful countryside, awaits a classic venue for couples drawn to weddings focused on connection and natural beauty. Family owned and operated, Sable and Vine carries a sense of hometown comfort that blends effortlessly with meaningful weddings. The tranquil space centered around natural elements as far as the eye can see offers a one-of-a-kind experience for the Raleigh area. Julie & Collin’s stunning autumn wedding at Sable and Vine was the perfect blend of picturesque countryside views, connection, and a day focused on who mattered most. What stood out the most on their wedding day was their playful love for each other while honoring the ones who have supported them throughout their lives.

I met Julie and Collin in early 2026 as they were finalizing their wedding details at a local bridal expo in Raleigh. From our first conversations, I could tell they were very special people who had a deep love for each other, wanted to have fun, and had a deep respect for their family and friends. Julie’s bubbly personality was such a joy as she described her autumn dream wedding during those early days of our conversations. For me personally, their wedding reminded me why I wanted to serve couples in a way that fits who they are in one of the best venues around the Raleigh area. I am grateful that they chose me to be their photographer for their beautiful wedding rooted in having fun and meaningful moments while having a wedding that felt like them.
Our morning started early at Julie’s bridal suite. Upon arrival, I was greeted with Sable and Vine’s long massive tree-lined drive covered in pops of yellow and orange leaves. Light rain crackled on the pond surrounding us while sweet grapes grew onsite. Inside, Julie and her girls were enjoying themselves getting ready and lunch. I remember thinking how peaceful it felt. As the morning wrapped up, we made our way around the stunning property for Julie’s bridal portraits. One staple spot was a massive oak tree overlooking the water glowing with fall foliage. I still remember the laughter Julie shared with her girls as we made our way through the grape vines with umbrellas in hand. Before the morning concluded, Julie and her mom shared a tender moment honoring her grandfather as he watched from heaven above.
Meanwhile, upstairs in the groomsuite, Collin and his groomsmen enjoyed a slow morning of chess and board games. I could tell they were such a close group of guys as they joked around all day. Not only were Collin’s closet friends with him, but so were his family, including his ring bearers. Their young spirits filled the morning, including showing their muscles in their adorable navy suits.
Next, we made our way to their ceremony overlooking the quiet waterway. The air went still as Julie made her way down the aisle. Married in faith, they shared vows surrounded by their closest friends and family. Following the ceremony, glowing portraits were taken in the vibrant grape vines just as the rain concluded. It was the perfect way to end the morning.

During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed tasty appetizers and speciality cocktails as the afternoon began. After a grand entrance to the reception, Julie and Collin shared their first dance before dinner was served. Afterwards, heartfelt speeches, tasty desserts, and a hilarious trivia game had guests rolling were a hit before kicking off the dance floor. Under the warmth of the night, the cozy smell of fresh coffee filled the air as a novelty coffee cart served crafted coffee beverages to guests. My personal favorite was the cinnamon vanilla iced coffee. As the night wound down, Julie and Collin shared a final dance with their guests on the dance floor. It was a wedding I will never forget and grateful to have been a part of it.
