Duke Gardens Bridal Portraits | Romance in a Dress with Pockets

Chloe’s Afternoon of Lighthearted Fun & Effortless Elegance

There is so much that goes into preparing for a wedding and it can be easy to spend time wrapped up in the details. Easily focusing on your next step in wedding planning, or your day-to-day, without ever really stopping to take in the fact that you’re living in a very special season of life. Bridal portraits offer you space to breathe for once. Space to slow down and be intentional with your time. Not to prepare for the wedding, but to spend time in this season of life before it becomes a memory. Chloe’s Duke Gardens bridal portraits gave her a chance to be in her body, rather than her mind. Chloe not only had been wedding planning, but she also stepped away from her 9 to 5 to start up & run her own business. To say she was busy in this season of life was beyond an understatement! There was no better time to than on a warm summer afternoon to give herself space to slow down and simply be.

As we moved through the historical garden, I watched her gradually let go of the feeling that she needed to hold it all and enjoy this chapter of becoming a wife. The more we explored the garden, the lighter she became and her little dimples gleamed. And the best part, her dress had pockets!!

Chloe’s Duke Gardens Bridal Portraits | A Glowy Summer Afternoon in the Greenery

I met Chloe earlier this year while planning for her destination wedding at Rip Raps at the Crossroads. When describing her wedding, Chloe said wanted her wedding to feel “romantical”. We cracked up laughing unsure if a new word had been created, but I knew what she meant. She wanted space to enjoy herself while also being filled with the same dreamy romantic vibes she felt inside when she looked at her soon-to-be husband, Matt. Not every moment needed to be perfectly posed or carefully thought out, but she wanted to see and feel herself within it. Not only did Chloe look absolutely STUNNING, but I watched her softly step into the next version of herself. The version that was ready to let go and own the space she had proudly built.
