Rose Hill Estate Bridal Portraits | Sweet Giggles & Being Present

Lacey’s Afternoon of Classic Southern Romance & Spontaneity

There is so much that goes into preparing for a wedding, and so much anticipation wrapped up in the life waiting on the other side of it. It can be easy to spend this time thinking ahead to the day itself, moving from one decision to the next, without ever really stopping to take in the fact that you’re living a part of your story you’ll only experience once. Bridal portraits offer a little room for something different. Not to prepare for the wedding, but to spend time in this season of life before it becomes a memory. Lacey’s Rose Hill Estate bridal portraits gave her a chance to step away from the busyness of wedding planning and spend an afternoon simply being a bride.

As we moved through the elegant Southern Manor property, I watched her gradually let go of the feeling that she needed to get everything just right. The more she relaxed, the more her personality came through. There was room for the quiet, romantic moments, but also for laughter, movement, and space to be herself. Not every moment needed to be perfectly posed or carefully thought out. This time in life deserves to be more than another thing to prepare for. It deserves to be enjoyed, imperfections and all, while you’re still in it.

Lacey’s Rose Hill Estate Bridal Portraits | Glowing Light & Summer Carefree Vibes

I met Lacey earlier this year as she and Carter were preparing for their wedding at Carolina Legacy Farmhouse. When planning for her bridal session, she told me she wanted romantic photos, but she also wanted to have fun. Having fun can sound cliche at times, but I knew what she meant when she was describing the vibe. She wanted a season focused on living, and not a focus on doing. She was deep in the planning stage of her wedding, and yes those details matter. But what she wanted was a season that also centered on living while in the process. She wasn’t waiting for something else to happen before she let herself enjoy where she was. She wanted space to simple be, and to be herself. And oh boy did she!! Enjoy some of my favorites STUNNING photos from Lacey’s Rose Hill Estate bridal portrait session below.
