As a Raleigh based wedding photographer, The Triangle brings such beauty in each season. But autumn is by far one of my favorite seasons for anything wedding related! I had the honor of spending the afternoon with Rebecca and Ray just as the temperatures started to dip in the late November air. Their sweet personalities combined with the rich warmth of the late autumn sun and historical character of a classic Raleigh staple, was one of the best ways to end the wedding season for me. Rebecca & Ray’s Yates Mill engagement photos reflect what this area does best in the fall—gentle light, timeless scenery, and space to simply be together. These two are having their dream wedding day at Prestonwood Country Club in spring of 2026, and I know it will be INCREDIBLE! Enjoy some of my favorite portraits from their session below.

Rebecca & Ray matched on the dating app January 2022! They agreed to meet during a snowstorm in Charlotte. Rebecca, early to the date, ordered a glass of cabernet sauvignon as Ray walked in and noticed her sparkling eyes. They talked for nearly 3 hours, before sharing a short walk to Sweet Lews BBQ. Ray, the gentleman that he is, offered to walk Rebecca home in the middle of the snowstorm as the end of their first date. Their second date and third date came quickly after. A few short weeks later, while waiting to have Rebecca’s car inspected, Ray asked her to be his girlfriend! (hahaha I loved this so much when they told me!!) After Rebecca said yes, (and the car inspection haha!), they went to celebrate with ice cream. The rest is history and I am so excited for their wedding this spring!
