As the leaves turn to brilliant shades of crimson and gold, there’s no better time to plan a wedding than in the fall in North Carolina. Lake Gaston, located in the southern part of Virginia and the northern part of North Carolina, is a serene reservoir stretching across 34 miles of waterfront bliss surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills. Isabelle and Zach’s Lake Gaston wedding was perfect on the first day of fall on a waterfront property with their closest friends and family.
Both gaming lovers, Isabelle and Zach met in high school in an online game called Rift. While dating long distance, they met for the first time at Isabelle’s prom. After several years of dating, Zach popped the question over dinner that he made in their apartment during summer. In their spare time, they enjoy gaming together, trying new food, and spending time with their two-year-old puppy, Tuna. It was important to Isabelle and Zach to incorporate each of these elements at their Lake Gaston wedding. I met Isabelle and Zach through social media, and it was obvious right from the start they were special souls and it was important to commemorate each element of their intimate fall affair.
The weekend began with a slow morning at a private waterfront property. Isabelle got ready with her wedding party and friends, while Zach and his groomsmen watched football. Traditional Asian cuisine simmered in the kitchen and filled the air while wedding decor was hung, and makeup was applied. As the fall rain began, Isabelle and Zach exchanged vows over an intimate ceremony with their family at sunset. After their ceremony, a six-course traditional Asian cuisine meal was served and Zach’s sister gave a toast that kept no dry eye in the room. Isabelle and Zach’s Lake Gaston wedding was absolutely perfect, and such a dream to be a part of as their wedding photographer.
