A Summer Spanish Wedding at Boots and Roots Farm

Located a short distance from Raleigh in the countryside of Haw River, is a peaceful wedding venue on a family farm. Boots and Roots Farm is a serene wedding venue that embodies the perfect mix of the North Carolina countryside, a barn wedding venue, cultural fun, and timeless wedding day bliss.

A Summer Wedding Day at Boots and Roots Farm

Getting Ready & Ceremony

When we arrived, the bride and groom were in separate locations on the Farm getting ready. We met up with the bride’s family and “honorary bridesmaids” in the bridal suite where the women were enjoying hair and makeup and celebratory champagne. While the bridal party was having a blast getting pampered, we got to work on capturing detail shots. The bride and groom had monogrammed shoes made for each other, and to honor the groom’s son as their something blue.

After getting ready, the bride and groom shared a first look in a quiet area on Boots and Roots Farm. They exchanged gifts that they had made for each other on their special day. After a first look and formal family portraits, they shared a beautiful ceremony overlooking the countryside with their family and friends under the late summer afternoon air. One of the beautiful things about being a wedding photographer is being a part of family traditions and family cultures. One of the most beautiful items of their wedding ceremony was how they honored both their Spanish culture and American families by having a bilingual ceremony. It was truly beautiful to watch two loving families come together in one ceremony.

Reception

After their wedding ceremony, it was time for cocktails and then dinner. Dinner was followed by several family toasts and a first dance. A live Spanish band played traditional music that got everyone on the dance floor all night. Later in the evening as the party started to die down, it was brought back to life by La Hora Loca.

When the evening ended, I was genuinely blown away by the love their family shared across the whole day. It was such an amazing wedding to be part of and one of my top weddings in 2023.
