Romantic Summer Bridal Portraits at Highrock Farms

All portrait sessions I have had the honor of being a part of are special to me, but Michelle’s bridal portraits at Highrock Farms held a special moment in my heart. I met Michelle several years ago at a local gym, and we quickly grew a friendship wrapped in laughter, love, and WOD’s. Michelle’s summer bridal portraits at a historic home and family farm in Oxford were a blessing to capture as a Raleigh-based wedding photographer, but also as a friend five years later.

Michelle’s Bridal Portraits at Highrock Farms

We arrived at Highrock Farms on a slow Sunday morning, and Michelle settled in with hair and makeup as I photographed her wedding gown and close-ups of her wedding rings and jewelry. After a light lunch, she slowly laced up her wedding gown and earrings in the bridal suite while stopping for a few portraits in the soft light. Our last stop inside was at the grand staircase with a stunning cascading chandelier overhead.

Next, we made our way around the venue’s property. The sun’s glow reflected off the pasture fields as the stillness of the country air was all you could hear. The way Michelle’s wedding veil glowed in the sunlight was magical, and still gives me goosebumps.

Lastly, we ended Michelle’s bridal portrait session with a visit from a special guest that Highrock Farms brought out for us to meet. Their baby lamb was the sweetest and the perfect addition to end the afternoon with!
