A Classic Virginia Wedding Day for Lauren & Kanishka

Lauren & Kanishka’s Wedding Day | Waverly Estate
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a beautiful greenery all around us. Tucked away in a private forest, weeping willow trees and beautiful forestry surrounded us from all sides in our own private estate. As the summer air moved, I could smell the fragrant flower bushes lining the property and hear calming buzz of summer bugs. I remember thinking how peaceful it felt compared to the city. I met Lauren and her bridal party as they were having fun with hair and makeup in the bridal suite. The rich history underneath us combined with the stunning glow in her eye as she stepped into her dress for the first time was simply breathtaking.
Meanwhile, located in the groomsuite two floors down, Kanishka and his crew enjoyed the morning watching football and a game of pool. Special gifts were exchanged to honor Kanishka’s military service before the big day began. Afterwards, Lauren & Kanishka shared a first look before we ventured off a private pathway for beautiful portraits before the ceremony. It was the perfect start to a beautiful day.
As the morning concluded, we made our way down to the beautiful glowing ceremony. Vibrant summer trees surrounded their closest friends and family as they exchanged vows before heading to the reception.
Lauren & Kanishka’s Reception | Waverly Estate
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour during family portraits. The massive all-white reception hall was glowing in pink, red, and pops of gold as the summer sun shifted. During knee sweet toasts, Kanishka was rolling in tears as his family gave honor to his heritage while Lauren shared a sweet moment with her father. Afterwards, as the late sun shifted, we took one final spin for sunset portraits. It was one for the books and I am beyond grateful to be a part of their wedding day.
