Duplin Winery is a bit of an original among winery wedding venues. They started operations in 1975, making them the oldest operating winery in the entire state. There’s a reason why they’ve been able to stand the test of time! Their sweet wines have become favorites across the South, allowing them to open several additional locations to keep up with the demand. They still devote much of their attention to the original Rose Hill location, giving you a divine space for your countryside wedding!
Details of the Grounds
Duplin Winery has locations for every part of your wedding! When you arrive at the grounds, you’ll be shown to the bridal suite, complete with an en suite restroom. This rustic chic area will shine through the backdrop of your candid getting-ready portraits!
Most ceremonies take place outdoors at The Vineyards. Overlooking the meticulously kept grapevines, this area can easily accommodate up to 300 guests. If you want something a little more ceremonious, you can head to The Amphitheater, where you will stand on a wooden stage with the pond just behind you. This area receives plenty of shade thanks to the surrounding pines, making it ideal for a Carolina summer wedding.
Once your ceremony is over, your guests can head to the covered porch of The Chapel while you take your portraits.
Finally, your reception can take place in The Chapel, where you will be able to accommodate up to 150 guests. This area features wood-wrapped walls and cathedral ceilings accented by exposed beams. The space has an on-site prep kitchen for added convenience.
Photography Opportunities
This property is picture-perfect with plenty of spots for your portraits. Once you’re done getting ready, you can head out with your bridal party and take portraits outside amidst the pines overlooking the water. Following your Duplin Winery wedding ceremony, you can head out to the vines where you’ll have a unique backdrop for your couple’s portraits. The ceremony site in front of the grapevines will also be a great spot for your group pictures!
