Bridal sessions are one of my favorite Southern wedding traditions! I can’t help but love them even more when they take place in the stunning countryside at Firefly Haven. I had so much fun with Caitlyn during her recent bridal portrait session on a late July afternoon in Hamptonville.
As far as your eyes could see were endless green fields in every corner of the property. All wedding seasons hold a special place in my heart, but midsummer is one of my favorite seasons. The thick summer heat mixed with late afternoon showers create vibrant color patterns across North Carolina, and are spectacular for weddings. This special time of year produces what I dub the “Green Glow Season”. Now obviously this isn’t a real season (haha!), but in the wedding world, it certainly is!
Caitlyn started the evening getting ready in a nearby suite. After hair and makeup were complete, we took advantage of the glorious summer sun. Being playful at heart, we made sure to have a mixture of traditional portraits with a few candid moments. By having a mixture, it spoke to her exuberant personalit while adding in timeless pieces. During the final moments of her bridal portrait session, Firefly Haven was kind enough to share a celebratory cocktail shortly before sunset. It was absolutely stunning and one of the most fun bridal sessions I have been honored to photograph to date!
