Kaitlin and Zach’s fall farm wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley stands a charming family farm dating back 11 generations. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains, West Oaks Farm Market serves as the perfect countryside venue for couples in Frederick County. The sprawling grounds are covered in fruit trees, rolling hills, and generational farmland dating back to the 1700s. It is an understatement to say West Oaks Farm Market was the perfect spot for Kaitlin & Zach’s start of their new family tree.

Kaitlin and Zach’s beautiful November wedding day began early in the morning in the bridal suite. Kaitlin and her bridesmaids relaxed while getting their hair and makeup done. Zach and his groomsmen got ready separately at a nearby home. Several groomsmen took turns teaching Zach the proper way to tie a tie while Kaitlin and her bridesmaids practiced dance moves back in the suite. Their adorable daughter arrived later in the morning after a short nap. After getting ready, Kaitlin and Zach shared a first look and portraits in the rolling hills of the apple orchards.

West Oaks Farm Market | Wedding Ceremony

As the wedding ceremony neared, guests filled the aisles overlooking endless fruit trees. The sun began to shift in the late November sky as Zach made his way down the aisle with his family. As Kaitlin appeared, the world slowed down, and the winds stood still. It was a serene moment witnessing their new family branch beginning amidst the rolling mountains in the distance. Afterward, Kaitlin and Zach spent time getting family portraits while guests enjoyed cocktails before the reception was scheduled to begin.

As the sun set behind the valley, guests enjoyed a wide array of colors filling the sky around us. After sunset and cocktail hour, Kaitlin and Zach shared a first dance to Dolly Parton’s version of I Will Always Love You. Next, Kaitlin shared a dance with her father, and Zach with his mom. The reception hall was filled with desserts, cakes, and cookies as dinner finished. The night concluded with dancing until late in the evening and a glowing sparkler exit.
